Okay, so, seeing as I'm incredibly bored and Kelly suggested this in Bio, I'm starting a thread about it. Kelly's idea was to have book or movie clubs because we always talk about movies that we should see. Is anyone else interested in this?
Here are some books/movies that I wouldn't mind reading/watching and discussing with you guys.
Books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Mouse Guard by David Petersen (graphic novel) The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster by Bobby Henderson The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard by Kiran Desai The Arrival by Shaun Tan (graphic novel) Life of Pi by Yann Martel Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman
Movies: La Vie en Rose Good Night, and Good Luck Amelie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof The Reader Doubt The Maltese Falcon Chaplin The Josephine Baker Story Dr. Strangelove A Streetcar Named Desire The Big Sleep Wings The Fall
I'm sure I could add to this list if anything else comes to me. These are just books and movies I've been meaning to see/read that I thought might be interesting for a book/movie club.

lolz...you can't really call them clubs...can you? Aren't they just meetings? 'Cuz a club having clubs is...WEIRD.
Sadly to say, I've never read or watched anything that you listed... *tear*
We can have a movie discussion thing like the "Slumdog Millionaire" thing where we watch a movie and then discuss it. :)

"Life of Pi" was a good book, I read it over the summer for English 2H. "The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster", although I only read a little of it, was pretty good. My older brother read it and said he loved it.

Well, I haven't read or watched any of them either. That's why they're on the list. And I just call them clubs because I haven't heard them called anything else. We could have a book... group? Or something. So, suggest books & movies you want to see, but haven't!

Aren't they just like...movies/book discussions/meetings?
You know, we could be all like English 3H and just make random little "threads" about certain movies/books that we pick to read/discuss. :) Although...we don't have to use schoolloop 'cuz we're cooler like that. *smile* We can just use HH Chat. We'll make a new topic kind of thing...one for movies and one for books. :)
Although...in person is so much better/cooler. :) We could have an actual face-to-face meeting thing and then if we have more to say or if we couldn't make it, we could have the little thread/online discussion. Like...the BHS book club. :P

We should discuss them some way or other. But let's decide on a movie or book first! Ahem.

lolz
That's a good point...really should pick something first...
Well...as I say for the movie discussions...I have no clue what really any of the movies/books are about (other than The Life of Pi and The Three Musketeers), so...I leave that decision up to you guys. *smile*

If you want, you could suggest something.

NAW.
I don't read anything inspiring or non-fiction-ish or anything like that. I'm not exactly fond of those depressing books that seem realistic either. :P You'd just get some random kids' books / fantasy books from me. :P
Also, I don't really hear a lot about "good books" that one should read. I don't get a lot of recommendations and I there aren't really any books in particular that I'm waiting/looking forward to reading.
We should ask Kelly 'cuz she volunteers at a library, so she probably knows what everyone's readying. :)

Who said we were only reading those types of books? I'm fine with fantasy. Though I don't really read it anymore. Not that I read anything that much anymore. Hence, the book club. Jeez, yet another thing Kelly does. My "5 bodies" theory is starting to sound more plausible by the minute.

Hahaha!
It's still only "5 bodies?" I'd think you'd have to add a couple more to keep up with what she does. :P
Although...if she does have "extra" bodies...she COULD at least have an internet one for HH Chat and SocialVibe and such... *tear*

lolz
I remember those. :) Read most of them, and I have...4? or 5? of them...hmmm...IDK :P I stopped 'cuz...I ran out of time? And, it's become quite a long series already...I think it's 4 out of however many there are now.
...never did finish that "The Lost Colony" one or whatever...that red one...
You know, the books seem nicely color coded. :) I can't seem to remember all the titles, but instead I remember the colors. :) I think I have the yellow one, the blue one, the purple one, and that other colored one that's inbetween them somewhere... :P

I think I just read the gold and the silver one (the first two).

lolz
Yeah...there we go...SILVER. Can't believe I forgot what color the second book was...wow...it's been a while... :P
Well...since it seems we've already read them...we COULD discuss them, although...I'm not sure I remember all the details/plot too clearly...I might not be able to distinguish each book...
